An Estate Shaped By Its Owners

The owners led this complex project across three storeys, making every design decision from the first plans to the final details. Semko worked closely with them on the engineering and structural work and some of the finishing touches. It was a privilege to work alongside such a wonderful family.

Floor-to-ceiling Andersen glazing fills the home with light and frames the lake and hills. A three-storey glass atrium rises above a suspended staircase with glass railings, and an elevator connects every level. Polished concrete floors run through the main living spaces, where a linear fireplace anchors the living and dining areas, and a long island and professional-style range set the tone in the kitchen.

Outside, the pool is positioned to keep the views open, with a poolside room beside it and a rooftop deck engineered for a hot tub above. Multiple flexible spaces let the home adapt to the family’s needs, and a triple garage handles the vehicles.
